1. Lovcen National Park and Cetinje
If you stay in the cost of Montenegro, this route can be your half-day or full-day trip from any major city such as Budva, Kotor or Tivat. You can start from any of those cities, make a full circle, and return. The road will take you to the Old Capital of Montenegro – Cetinje, and lead you through the breathtaking roads with a view to Kotor and Boka bay. While riding this route, you can stop in local restaurants and taste local cuisine which is typical for the mountain area of Montenegro and a bit different from what you can find on the coast. One of the most popular stopping points on this route is Kotor Serpentine. This road is great to ride in summer as the temperature is a bit cooler, and riding to Lovcen National Park can be a great escape from the coastal heat.

2. Kotor Bay

3. Captain’s Lake (Kapetanovo Jezero)
This is one of those hidden locations which requires one day trip. Or it can be combined with other routes if you want to spend a few days on the road. It is a beautiful location remote from the coastal area of Montenegro. It reaches for wild nature and stunning scenic views. On your way to Kapetanovo Lake, also known as you’ll be able to see beautiful landscapes.

4. Durmitor National Park
This can be your most extended trip in Montenegro, but also the most memorable, as scenic views in that area are breathtaking. Durmitor National Park is located in the northern part of Montenegro. Riding there in the summertime is great to escape from the coastal heat and crowded cities in the peak season. You also will visit Pluzine and Piva Lake, Black Lake, Tara bridge, and Nevidio Canyon. Those are the most popular attractions in that area. It is recommended to plan 2 days trip for the Durmitor ride to experience Montenegro’s northern culture and see as much as possible. Still, when you are limited in time, this roundtrip can be fitted in one long day of riding.
